The Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) and the CXL™ Consortium have formed a strategic alliance to enable the education and to support the subsequent adoption of their technologies by interested individuals, including developers, implementors, and end users.
SNIA is a non-profit organization comprised of member companies. A globally recognized and trusted authority, SNIA’s mission is to lead the storage industry in developing and promoting vendor-neutral architectures, standards and educational services that facilitate the efficient management, movement and security of information.
Together the CXL Consortium and SNIA will focus on joint marketing efforts, specifically between the CXL Marketing Work Group and the SNIA Compute, Memory, and Storage Initiative (CMSI) Marketing Committee. Together the organizations will work to:
-
Coordinate across both organizations in various working groups
-
Ensure that SNIA and CXL standards are coordinated and aligned
-
Cross-promote SNIA, CXL and industry conferences, events, and social media
-
Promote SNIA and CXL joint technology definition and usage to member companies
