Next stop AI Infra Summit
AI-driven HPC and next-gen data centers are driving explosive demand for memory innovation and CXL® (Compute Express Link®) is at the forefront, addressing the need to break through the memory wall.
In recognition of the groundbreaking technology and its impact, the CXL 3.x specification received the “Most Innovative Memory Technology – Industry Standards” award at FMS 2025.

“A next generation standard was needed to facilitate memory sharing between accelerators and GPUs, one that can be deployed as a composable fabric for disaggregation, pooling, and distributed processing,” said Jay Kramer, Chair of the Awards Program and President of Network Storage Advisors, Inc. “We are proud to recognize CXL 3.X Specifications fabric that can support up to 4,096 nodes and can communicate with others using a scalable addressing mechanism. This new version of CXL delivers improved memory bandwidth and performance while driving improved memory utilization and lower costs in the data center, pushing memory capacity beyond the limitations of alternative technologies.”
Activating the Ecosystem at FMS 2025
CXL was pervasive at FMS with a long list of CXL Consortium members demonstrating technology and products on the show floor, and sharing information in a number of sessions featuring panels and technical presentations.

Demos in the CXL Pavilion

CXL Consortium members shared video demos at the kiosk to showcase how they are deploying CXL to boost performance of emerging applications. View the CXL video demos HERE.
CXL Sessions
“How CXL Transforms Server Memory Infrastructure” panel session

CXL Consortium representatives from Astera Labs, Samsung, Montage Technology, and XConn Technology presented to over 145+ attendees to promote the benefits of CXL memory pooling and sharing. Attendees discovered how CXL is being deployed to accelerate performance in AI workloads, In-Memory Databases, and Big Data Analytics.
Beer, Pizza, and Chat with the Experts

The CXL Consortium hosted a table at the Chat with the Experts networking event, meeting with attendees to discuss the latest developments of CXL technology and how the technology can be deployed to expand the memory footprint.
