As part of DMTF’s Alliance Partner program, the organization and the Compute Express Link (CXL) Consortium have agreed to a new work register, which outlines areas of technical collaboration between the two organizations.
Compute Express Link™ is a CPU interconnect that enables a high-speed, efficient performance between the CPU and platform enhancements and workload accelerators. Several industry leaders have teamed up to form this open industry standard group to develop technical specifications that facilitate breakthrough performance for emerging usage models while supporting an open ecosystem for datacenter accelerators and other high-speed enhancements.
As part of its agreement with DMTF, the CXL Consortium plans to provide CXL expertise and assistance to the Redfish Forum, assist in extending the Redfish standard to include CXL management, and ensure CXL management support in standards developed by DMTF’s Platform Management Components Intercommunication working group.
The work register detailing this Alliance Partner relationship is available here.
