Zoom Webinar

Compute Express Link (CXL) has emerged as a critical technology for modern server systems, offering the ability to expand memory bandwidth and capacity while significantly reducing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by minimizing stranded memory. However, widespread adoption faces three primary challenges: higher latency compared to traditional DIMMs, insufficient bandwidth for data-intensive AI applications, and a lack of robust CXL support within data center virtualization software.

To address these hurdles, it is clear that developing vertical optimization technologies that bridge hardware and software from Application to CXL Controller are important enablers for a broad adoption of useful solutions based on CXL technology. Active engagement in strengthening the CXL ecosystem through open-source contributions is essential as well. In this webinar, we will introduce three key technologies as examples designed to overcome these specific limitations:

  • S-CHMU: A specialized solution engineered to mitigate CXL latency issues.
  • CXL-PNM: A Processing-Near-Memory technology designed to overcome bandwidth constraints for AI workloads.
  • Pangaea: A comprehensive solution to support virtualization environments to minimize stranded memory.
